Gabriela Friedl is a Swiss national.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Geology, a PhD in Environmental Sciences and a Master’s Degree in GIS systems. After many years of teaching at the Swiss Federal Institute for Technology in Zürich and University of BC in Vancouver, she worked as project officer for water and sanitation projects in Sudan for UNICEF, in Sri Lanka for FSD and as a GIS/GPS mapping and database expert and trainer for FSD in Sri Lanka, Sudan and Burundi. Gabriela currently works on water projects for the Office of Environment in Solothurn, Switzerland.
