Paolo Baracchini graduated in chemical engineering from the Polytechnic Engineering of Genova.

During his career he was responsible for technical development, Research, Management and Environmental Quality in several European companies.

Graduated "European Quality Manager" he completed his training as an auditor for ISO 9001 and has been certified ISO 14001 environmental auditor by ICAE in Paris.

It is also assessor for the EFQM model and the price Swiss ESPRIX. Expert in management of health and safety, it has successfully completed the training SUVA. Consultant specializing in operational aspects of business management, he works with different curricula at EPFL, Universities of Western Switzerland, Politecnico of Milan and the Ecole Nationale Polytechnique of Algiers.

It also participates in activities of various associations in the areas of business management and environmental management. Paolo Baracchini currently works with the REME, the Laboratory for Research in Economics and Environmental Management in the Faculty ENAC, EPFL.
