Benedikt Truniger originates from Swiss-German St. Gallen, where he obtained a degree in economics at the University for Applied Sciences. After two years as product manager for Procter & Gamble, he joined the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for which he served in delegations in Africa, Middle East and Asia for 11 years. In 1995 he joined ICRC Headquarters in Geneva in various senior management positions for another 6 years. In 2002 he started up an HR company in Switzerland with a partner and in parallel joined the FSD on a part time basis. Since 2003, he works full time for FSD and specializes in the field of fundraising, communication and general management.
