Hansjoerg Eberle is a former Head of Finance and Information Technology of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) based in Geneva. He has both a Swiss and a French passport and speaks English, French, German, Alemanic and some Portuguese.

Hansjoerg is a founding member of the initial Federation Suisse de Deminage (FSD) in 1997. This association later gave way to the Swiss Foundation for Mine Action (FSD). He served as Vice-President of the Board and as Secretary General on a voluntary basis until 2001. In 2002 he was named Director, a post he has held ever since.
